SECTION II CONCENTRATION SECTION: 12 images; multiple digital images of each may be submitted.
Demonstrate a depth of investigation and process of discovery through the Concentration section. (This section needs to focus on details and focus of process concentration; high scores show a thematic focus) The Concentration section shows the student's in-depth exploration of a particular design concept. It is presented as 12 images, some of which may be details of works. The stress is on a coherent idea and development of the work, in addition to the artistic success of the work. Written concentration component questions What is the central idea of your concentration? How does the work in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea? You may refer to specific images as examples. When referencing specific images, please indicate the image numbers. The Concentration Portfolio assignment begins in January. You will be graded on 8 projects from Jan-April for HS Credit. The portfolio requires 12 images that utilize process as well as finish. You are REQUIRED to keep a CONCENTRATION SKETCHBOOK. |
